Before inquiring about any adoptable listings placed on this website, you must prove yourself worthy of caring for hermit crabs.
The process for new hermit crab adopters:
Step #1- Read all of the information posted in the Basic Care board and learn it well.
Step #2- After you are completely confident of your knowledge of the information contained in this board, take the hermit crab test and private message it to me. If you answer at least 80% of the questions on the tests correctly, move onto Step #4.
Step #3- Set up your hermit crab tank and record the temperature and humidity each day for one week. Also record if you have done anything to correct humidity and temperature problems.
Step #4- Request the Approved Adopters Application and fill it out. Once you are approved, you will be eligible for adoption.
The process for those who have either had hermit crabs in the past or already have hermit crabs:
Step #1- Take the hermit crab test and private message it to me. If you answer at least 80% of the questions correctly, you will be permitted to move onto step #2.
Step #2- Set up the tank if you haven't already and record the temperature and humidity for a week if the tank is not already set up. If it is already set up, move to Step #3.
Step #3-Request the Approved Adopters Application and fill it out. Once you've been approved, you'll be eligible for adoption.
NOTE: The majority of your Approved Adopters application is NOT confidential. It will be shared with the person who is disowning their hermit crab, with the exception of several parts.
